2nd Annual Run to the Cross 5K

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Run to the Cross 5K!

Our Theme this year is "All Who Are Thirsty" - Matthew 10:41,42

Our race this year will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at CrossPoint Church in Florence, Alabama.

We will run/walk a 5K Race and all proceeds this year will go to digging a well in Africa. We will be working with partners4africa.com to dig a well in the Southern State of Zimbabwe, near the city of Bulwah.

Registration cost is $30.00. This includes a tshirt, water, and participation medal.

We are encouraging people to get a team together and walk in memory of a loved one. Please pick a team name for your team. The race this year will be In Memory of The Children. We will have a candlelight vigil at the end of the race in memory of our loved ones.

You can pre-register on this blog by leaving your name and email in the comments section. We will contact you via email and let you know that there is a spot reserved for you at the race. You can also email us at jimnkrista2@gmail.com if you wish for your information to stay private. Please let us know if you will be racing with a team as well as your team name.

Welcome to the Race To The Cross 5K Run in memory of Jon Willingham.

The Race will be Saturday, November 20th at CrossPoint Church in Florence, Alabama.

Registration will begin at 7:30 am.

The 5K Race will begin at 8:15 and the 1K Race for the Kids will be immediately following the end of the 5K Race.

Registration Fees are:

$20 + a New Toy for the 5K. This includes drinks, snacks and a free t-shirt.

A New Toy is the registration for the 1K. This also includes, drinks, snacks and a free t-shirt.

TO REGISTER: Leave your name and contact information (phone # or email) in the comment section of the blog. That will guarantee you a place in the race. Your registration fee will be due on the morning of the race. Due to shortness of time, we won't be sending out a race packet.

We will be posting a view of the course on here in the next couple of days.

All proceeds from the race will go directly to the CrossPoint Toy and Coat Giveaway on December 4th. This provides Christmas toys and Warm Coats for local members of our community.
